About spice levels
Mild dishes rely on aromatics rather than chilli. Medium dishes have noticeable heat that most visitors find comfortable. Hot dishes are built around chilli and can be very spicy — ask for less if you need to. In Thailand, "mai phet" means "not spicy"; in China, "bú yào là".
